Thanks!

It was a lot of masking work. The Spaztix Chrome is an awesome paint!

No tint. It's just the final black coat.

The paint was all rattle cans. Tamiya colors except for the Spazstix Chrome.

Tamiya Copper, Inca Gold, and Black. Also a small bit of Tamiya Silver as backing for the chrome parts. I used black as a backing for the copper and gold because I did not want those colors too bright.

I could not find paint colors to match this exactly, but I was kind of shooting for this:

Unfortunately, this body is sized for a cartoon truck stampede basher. Though it might fit a CC-01.... Hmmm... I already drilled holes for the stampede so...

Oh okay. So is it partially see through? Did you just apply it light?

Thanks!

You can use tamiya ps31 smoke for tinting windows, Body looks awesome. If you dont plan on tomahawking magnets work really well and you dont have to poke any holes in the body

If you use smoke paint for the windows, make sure to mask EVERYTHING else on the body first, apply ten or more super-light coats, and use a small fan to help the smoke paint dry faster. The stuff is so thin, and so packed with solvent, that it will re-dissolve other coats of paint and mix itself in, and it will run like crazy if it's applied even slightly too heavily. Since tinting the windows is the last step of painting, it REALLY sucks if you screw it up. I screwed it up once, and then decided I'm fine with having clear windows.

Ii have gone to black on most of my rigs windows but have also used color changing fascolor on some sc trucks and was amazed by the looks. Wish I had taken pictures before giving them as gifts to my nephew -in -law.

This looks great! Wish I could find a full Ford body for my SCX10, best I can find is a Honcho style 250.
