I am fairly new to the hobby, and I need some help cutting a new Hummvee H2 body that I recently purchased. I have seen how many of the bodies are cut, like all low profile and all, but I dont not know where to cut on this new body, and I do not want to mess it up. Here are a few pictures, and if you could please edit them to show where to cut for me(just put some lines on the pics of where to cut), I would really appreciate it. Well, I hope you can help me on this one. Thanks Last edited by TwistedCreations; 12-31-2006 at 05:33 PM. Reason: You need to resize those pics

dont see your pics anywhere but what I do is trim the body according to how it should from the factory, start flexing your machine and cut where things hit and cut and cut

if you wish to compete just make sure that you meet the minimum body size requirements... these are posted under the competition area of the board.

Its quite simple, mount the body as low as you can. Then trim only what you need to provide clearance.

Mount it then trim as required. Flex the suspension and go lock to lock on the steering. You want no tire rub.

On the other hand, a little tire rub done right can be used as a good articulation limiter. I'm sure someone will probably flame me for this but whatever, there is such thing as too much articulation.

I use my 4 1/2" Makita angle grinder with a 120 grit flapper disc on it. A little overkill but it works like a charm and simple to hold stright lines.

ok thanks everyone. sorry about the pics....they were there when I first posted...oh well. thanks anyway. I just finished it up, and I articulated it to make it flex until it touched, and then I cut away the minimum to where it wouldnt rub on it. It looks great at didnt get rid of scale. thanks everyone
