Default Painting Anodized Aluminum

I am interested in painting the upper and lower link plate sets on my Yeti XL to match the rest of my build. I was just wondering what paint would be best for this.

As long as you scuff the surface, and use an appropriate primer, And, use a comparable paint to the primer, Rust Oleum should do the trick. In other words, don't use a lacquer primer, and then expect an enamel paint to stick to it.

Easy off oven cleaner will strip anodized parts, then an etching primer will bond better

Rattle can them up. Its going to scrape off no matter what but spray paint sticks to anodizing very well.

Typically there is no reason to worry about adhesion with smaller products like servo plates but the colored anodized process typically will utilize a nickel acetate seal to seal the color into the aluminum that leaves a powdery residue that can affect adhesion. Either stripping the aluminum or a scuffing of it with scotchbrite will work fine
