No, this is bigger (1:8.5ish scale) and injection molded.

Yup, nice in the sense that 1.9 scales roughly to a 15" wheel but on the ocd side, it's not exactly scale at 15" wheel lol a bit more tire options though

Anyone looking to stay scale ish, I've done the number and 4.1" tall 1.9 are around a 33" tire and 4.3" around a 35" tire.

Love this body just ordered it from EBay.

Anyone know is there are any custom bumpers and roof racks made for this body and SCX10.2

Would pay almost anything for it!

EDIT: as noted in below posts, I'm going to see about making a bulk order of these and reselling; if you are interested in one let me know and I'll add you to the list!
Do you still have any of these bodies for sale? I'm interested in buying one. I have a project in mind that would be perfect for this body. it should fit the SCX10.2 right?

I am planning on getting one of these. I am a RC car noob anyone mind enlightening me on how to mount this to an SCX10 ii body? I was thinking about going with velcro and incognito mounts.

From what I gather you screw it into the body somewhere on the bottom? I don't want to do that and plan on filling the holes. I am wanting to build a class 1 rig.

Thanks!

If there are any real jeep fans interested in this, do you know why we call them the " 7 slot grilles?" Count the slots in this grille. There are
8. If I am not mistaken the only ones that don't have 7 slots are the 2 wheel drives. Just a thought. I know some of the 1:1 guys try to find the 2 wheel drive bodies because they are not all banged up, then switch the grille. Just mho. Neet body though

Not to argue but... I think you are wrong. 1st gen XJ looks to have 8, then went to 7 with the facelift.

In short, it has to due with subcontracting of parts, patent infringements, new jeep corp owners and spite. Lol. There is some fun internet reading on the history of the grill alone.

Did some research on the grille thing. Jeep tried to sue Hummer over the design of their grille. Prior to the CJ the grilles were all over the place depending on the maker. Look at the old flat fender ones for example. Some only have 5. Most of the guys I wheel with in my 1:1 try to find XJ bodies from down south wherqe there are a lot of the 2 wheel drive ones. It was sold like a station wagon to farmers. Most have 8 slots in the grille. The 7 will bolt right in. I have not seen a lot of 2WD jeep XJ except his and it's from Tennesee. Not much use for 2WD jeep in New England. Just going on what he told me about his ride. There is a ton of stuff about the grille alone. Szczerba said it, you could spend hours just researcing Jeep front ends.Ahh scalers......
