| Bed liner?
I just bought a can of Rustolium spray on bed liner with the intentions of doing the roof of my Bronco body. Other than light scuffing of the Lexan, is there anything else I need to know. Figured I'd practice on some old bodies first, but is there any tricks or don't do's I should know about? Any pointers at all are greatly appreciated!

I tried the Rustoleum that is labeled "Bonds to plastic". It does not bond to plastic. Bull Sh*t!

I don't know if it works but there are some utube videos about it.

I used the rustoleum 2x paint that says bonds to plastic on 2 hard bodies and it worked great. It does have a long cure time on plastic though. It took about 5 days for it to fully harden up. Lexan is a totally different you really need lexan specific paint. | |

Use a can of polycarb paint as a primer, then you can spray almost anything on top of that without chipping away (unless you do a single heavy coat with the polycarb paint) I've done this to quite a few lexan bodies using standard rust oleum and standard krylon spray cans to paint them on the outside. A few light coats of Tamiya PS-5 and then Krylon and/or Rustoleum on top -Derek |

Thanks guy's! I think I'll take some of your tips and practice on some old bodies and see what's going to work. Thanks again for taking the time to help!

I myself have used the textured paints from krylon with the above stated prep work and then covered it with black or any color you want the bed liner to look.Just my experience.

I've used Duplicolor's bedliner with their adhesion promoter as a primer. My procedure is to clean the lexan, scuff it with sand paper, clean it again, apply the adhesion promoter as recommended on the can, let it set up for 10-15 minutes, then apply the bedliner as recommended on the can, then let the paint cure and unmask if necessary.
