The reason they chopped the back off is for a better departure angle. It's the same thing as bobbing a Hliux bed. It still looks horrible but it was done on purpose.

What really pisses me off is that proline and vaterra can get the proportions or body lines completely wrong but some bull crap at walmart gets them perfect for the toy grade rcs. I mean come on hobby grade rcs are supposed to be a step above what you can find coming from the toy store.

The back wasnt chopped off, the length looks spot on, they moved the arches back so it fits the bulk of stock scx/vaterra rigs. Kids these days have no idea what it used to take to make a body fit a rig. Besides a bronco is supposed to be a short wheelbase truck. The original dingo only had a 11.4 wheelbase, and would be spot on!

| Re: **NEW** Pro-Line 81' Ford Bronco body - 12.3" WB Hear, Hear! Proline really needs to consider some new 11.4 inch wheelbase bodies. I can't be the only one looking for a short wheelbase body. Right?

Proline has now botched up 2 Bronco's. Don't get me wrong, I am have been a fan of Proline for over 20 years. They seem to do a fine job from the nose to the doors and then...they went and had a few beers and came back, and decided to stretch the rear to fit. If they re-made both of their Bronco bodies to fit the Dingo WB, all would be well. If not, then maybe scale it up in size to fit the the longer WB. It might come out as an 1/8th scale. They have a few duplicate bodies with different WB. Maybe this is just the first and they're planning a shorter WB body(rear wheel well adjusted only), for the Dingo sized chassis. Just my opinion. | |

I'd rather see more sectional lexan bodies if that's what it takes to get better detail. Plastic grills, bumpers and light buckets are just about a must these days also.

I totally agree. lexan looks so good painted and will generally hold up better. The Tamiya and Vaterra idea of lexan shells with hard plastic details and grille is the best idea IMO. Now if they could just go rob a cad/mold guy from New Bright we would have a winning combo.
