Default State License plates?

I'd really like to have an official WV state License plate for my body. Is there anyone out there that prints them up? Thanks!

That is a handy website to generate license plate graphics

If you have access to a printer, you can make you own really easily (plus custom stickers for your body and other scale accessories such as smartphones & iPads), hope this YT video of mine helps...

Two main guys - krawler konceptz does nice work...they use a scale reflective material and also include micro hardware. Rcdmv doesn't use reflective material and doesn't include hardware but is cheaper.

I've ordered from both and would give the slight nod to KK. The actual print itself isn't as 3D as rcdmv but the reflective material and hardware give it the edge.

Yes old thread is old

Here's my DIY method for license plates. First I'll make up a handful of plates using the Acme license maker's site, laminate them, cut them out

then I'll cut a matching piece of lexan out and I paint just the edge of the lexan so it looks like sheet metal.

To bond the 2 I've really liked using 3M's super 77 (a multipurpose adhesive) its like a contact adhesive with a lot move forgiveness, it wont just bond where you set it instantly, you have a bit of time to play with it. I also found with heat you can get the bond to loosen up and when cool it will stay put. I live in a cool area and its possible this adhesive may not do as good in hotter climates.

I use painters tape to hold the plate down (sticking it face down) while I spay the super 77 on the back side, it also prevents the adhesive getting on the front side

Let it sit for 5 minutes until tacky, then carefully align them and stick them together.

I like to either use tiny scale hardware to mount the plate to the truck or E6000 if its in a spot that its less likely to get knocked loose. but I have lost a handful of plates when using hot glue, so I'd avoid using it alone.

My support for Krawler Konceptz too. My apologies upfront but...stay home mom that takes care of special needs son (also has a daughter) and supports special needs organizations/events! Awesome in my book. Easy to work with and does great custom work too! I've been doing the Acme plates until I found KK. Now I'm hooked.

I create mine on the Acme sight, laminate with clear packing tape, cut them out and lay them, face-up, onto the sticky side of aluminum tape. I do this, with the aluminum tape 3 or 4 times, then I cut off the excess around the edges. Makes it resemble aluminum plates and it's reasonably stiff.

Cryptic RC is a new company on Facebook doing plates.

I didn't realize KK included scale hardware. That's sweet!

My friend Dan at Cryptic RC does great vinyl. Commercial grade vinyl, won't fade, and stands up to the abuse of RC crawling pretty well. My wife sent him some pictures of what she wanted on skins for her Wraith and this is what he came up with. Excellent stuff.

Does plates and other stuff as well.

Good to hear. I have an order with Cryptic RC for plates that I placed before I even saw this thread.
