| Anyone Seen/Done A Softopper?
Haven't had any luck finding anyone who's done a canvas-over-tube pickup cover (ala Softopper). Have you tried to build one, or have you seen anyone who's making something like that? I'm really looking to do something different for the new RC4WD Taco body, and that's my first thought... |

Here's one for the KillerBodies Toyota LC70. Not cheap though. https://www.asiatees.com/display?Mis...d=148147&pid=1 |

That is pricey! I'm really after something that fits the lines of a modern truck, as well...rather than looking like a 1940s canvas hulk of a troop transport. I'd love ideas for materials, etc. to attempt fabricating the frame. |

This is a fabric top I'm working on for an RC4WD Cruiser. I modified the hardtop to look like a frame. Sewing on a machine is easier than it looks. That was my progress after one evening, starting at zero experience with a sewing machine. I made the top out of pieces of newspaper first, then I cut that up to use as a pattern on the fabric. Nice work I did a shoddy quick attempt at one last year, I only added it as my daughter complained that Barbie's passengers kept getting wet in the rain when we went out with it You've far surpassed that right off the bat...big kudos! https://youtu.be/zI8BhPIUphc Last edited by F.i.M.S presents Rc.; 09-18-2018 at 05:16 PM. |
