Default Ecx. Barrage body

Since their is next to no aftermarket support for the barrage. I was wondering if a tamiya CC01 jeep body would work.

It appears that the Tamiya CC01 jeep wrangler wheelbase is 242mm. The Barrage wheelbase is 252mm, not that much different. Depending on the wheel size used it may look ok as is or you may need to shorten the Barrage wheelbase a bit to make it look right. You would also have to come up with different body mount posts or a different way to mount the body.

I'm pretty sure you could do it if you don't mind doing a bit of fab work to mount it.

Looked at a barrage a few times at the lhs and those axles look just like the slickrocks. If they are then some of the mrc axles parts might work.

They are clone axles of them and yes Mrc parts do work, even the overdrive mod works just needs a driveshaft that has 4mm on one end and 5mm on the other.

I also know there are extenders in there. Not sure how much but I bet pretty close to 10MM combined.

The wrangler was on the swb cc01, the cc01 has 3 wheelbases. If memory serves me correct, the land cruiser 40 and bronco are 252, so yes they will fit. The FJ cruiser is 267

Barrage with Ford Body

Maybe this helps? it looks like it mounts up the same way he mounted up the Chevy body.

^^^ That's still a Chevy body in that video, just a older Chevy from ProLine made for the Stampede rather than the newer Chevy for the Vaterra that he shows at the end.

He notes that the narrower track width of the ProLine is much preferred...

Excellent video - body is perfect, suspension fixes he made are a must.

I like the old 50's Chevy body like the one in the video, but the 66 f100 body looks better.

I like them both,.the 66 ford body fits the barrage well,..if they had a 80's square body chevy p/u that would fit i'd get one of those to match my real truck

Nice! Love seeing the support and creativity for the barrage. I was just watching vids before dinner, and after dinner i spot this thread haha

I have something in mind, just trying to decide between rgt rock cruiser or barrage. A little biased in here im sure lol but hillbilly has made some awesome progress on his rgt.

If there is a coupon for the ecx i will probably pull the trigger soon...

The shipping made my rgt cost about 30 more than the barrage, and the stock tires for the barrage are probably better, I know the electronics are well the servo sucks on both. But that's rtr for you.

Here's my Barrage with a Tamiya Bronco 1973 body and 1.55 Pitbull Growlers. The wheelbase is a little off which you can see in how the rear wheel lines up. It's more obvious when the rear wheel has to tuck up into the body.

That's how my rgt bronco is. The rear wheel is a couple mm longer than the body wheel base.
