Default Stripping paint from Wraith chassis

I've got an old wraith where the chassis has been painted.
Does anyone have a tip on how to remove the paint, and not destroy the plastic at he same time?

Are you sure that won't affect the plastic in any way? I'm affraid the plastic will go brittle.

Yes, The factory plastics are nylon. Nylon has excellent chemical resistance to just about every chemical we have access to. I painted an old wraith cage once and immediately regretted it. I used DOT 4 brake fluid to strip it and had no negative effects.

I would not use brake cleaner, or any other solvent. Although my research into plastic welding nylon says this probably won't do anything either.

Soaked my wraith in brakefluid for four hours today, and the paint still won't come off. Some of the paint partly gone, but primer won't come off at all.

Is there anyone thats tried Strip all paint and rust remover?

Tried acetone now. Works way better than brake fluid. But you have to be careful with it.

You want to watch the fumes using acetone..... very flamable and toxic.

As long as you don't drink acetone, it's very safe for humans.

Also this is good news, painting my first lexan body ever today.

You could try simple green or purple power.
