Default J-consepts Raptor STV body, scale stuff.

Im considering the J-consepts Raptor SVT body Productno:0084 for a build.

Do anyone know who makes the scale stuff on this body, or where to get it?

The JC embossed on the parts says it's most likely J Concepts

I love JConcepts, but they don't make nice bodies. There aren't many details and what's there is too subtle. They look like Team Blue Groove bodies that are molded from existing bodies. I prefer Proline by a landslide. I wish Traxxas made their Raptor body for crawlers.

I like the big fenders. Its going on a comp truck with RB XL tires, so a Proline body will have to much rubbing.
And I got a bit tired of the narrow proline bodies. I wonder when they are gonna realize that the scx10 and Ascender trucks needs body width of 220-230mm. Not 180-190mm that they are making. Its redicolus!

I have used two jconcepts bodies on the scx10. The bronco and the atlas body. Both are large and bulky. Width is the biggest issue. I don't think that they are designed for crawler, and merely an after thought that they could capture another market.

The picture show them on an ascender chassis and look good, but like I said not so much on the scx10.

If width is what you want then I guess its an option, but both bodies don't look right, hard to put into words.

Hard to cut the fenders off the atlas to get 4.6 tires under it to get the width I wanted, but then lost the scale look with a chopped up body.

Even then the stock slider were inside the body at their longest settings, I ended up having to bend the body to get the lower panels to fit inside the sliders.

Just my opinion, but this body won't compete well with other trucks using tires like that. Are you using SORRCA rules over there? If so, this is definitely not a C2 body.

The comps over here is with very simple rules and scale does hardly count.
