Default Short wheel base bodies?

I have a redcat everest 10 with a strc wheelbase kit and I'm looking for ideas for a new body. The current rj speed rocker isn't doing it for me. Any suggestions for swb bodies? Was thinking of maybe using a tamyia bronco

If your handy you can make your own. I built mine from a TF2 cab, and the bed off my LWB TF2. I am a total noob when it comes to working on these hardbodies, so it shouldn't be to hard.

That's cool. Pretty cool but I don't have the room or tools in my apartment to do something like that

I dont know what the wheelbase is on an everest 10 with strc wheelbase kit, so... what is it? Lol
But yeah tamiya might be your best bet. Find what chassis the body came with, look up wheelbase for that chassis and boom!

And that shortened yota body is rad! The bed and body are one piece and reminds me of when minitruck guys filled the gap for a clean look. Or like an el camino, ranchero, or... subaru brat!

You could also cheat a bit and cut off the stock fender edges and then put aftermarket flairs on it. You could do that pretty easy in your apartment. I did all kinds of drift car bodies while living in an apartment in japan. Just need a balcony for painting.

Or! Orrr... along the lines of cutting the fender edge... do what hot rodders do. Cut a box around the entire fender opening, cut another very slender section in front or behind, depending what direction you want to move the fender, then swap those two sections. Only downside to that is, you would only be able to paint the outside, not a deal breaker on lexan but would be no problemmo on a solid body.

The strc swb kit is intended for tamiya bodies. So really most any smaller 1/10 or 1/12 will fit along with the smaller newbright hard bodies

Iv been shopping around, I'm gonna go with a tamyia YJ, I have some ideas I think will look cool. I stuck a proline bronco body on it for shits and giggles and it actually doesn't look bad with the fenders cut closer to the door

I got a tamiya yj in the mail today, gonna make it work. Thanks for the input guys

All great ideas too, lexan outside paint looks good imo.

The proline stampede bodies are round 9-10" wheelbase. I know they are a bit longer than the rj speed crawler bodies

I ended up with a tamiya yj body, it fits the chassis really well, the 1.9 Axial Bfg krawlers look a little large for it but not to much.
I'm love all the ideas too.
