Newbie to Styrene. Need some help!

So I've never built anything with styrene before and I want to start. So I have a few noob questions. Where do I buy the stuff? (For real I've looked everywhere), what thicknesses are used for what, how to cut styrene and what blade to use, and how to glue and paint it. I apologize for so many dumb questions but like I said I've never done this before and I want it get it right!
