Default Trimming front wheel wells on Tamiya Hilux body

Does anyone have any tips on neatly trimming the front wheel wells on a Tamiya Hilux cab? I need to trim the entire arch of the wheel wells.

I'm not exactly sure how much I need to trim. I'll have to trim a little, set the body on the chassis and check it. My biggest issue is keeping both wheel wells the same.

I was thinking about using a drum sanding bit on a Dremel and just slowly sanding the wheel well.

Any help or input would be appreciated!

I used a Dremel tool with a cut off wheel, then finished with a sanding drum. Pencil lines where I wanted to cut.

Yeah I'd use the cut-off / sanding drum and go really slow. You can use string but it's a pain to cut non-straight lines with string and no guide.

I like any decent brand of curved and or straight body scissors. A new pair especially cuts tamiya hard bodies pretty easily and leaves a pretty clean edge. Easy to sand and clean up.

Plus you have precise control, zero chance of it catching and cutting too far or running across places you don't want scratches.

Get yourself a good set of both straight and curved lexan scissors. For round wheel wells I bought a large sanding drum set on eBay for my drill. The smaller ones work on my Dremel. They are great and the set was only about $20 shipped.

Mine looks like this.
