Default Mojave Body and RC4WD Rear Cage on my 10.2

Calling on all body mounting experts. I just got the RC4WD rear metal cage and Mojave body to convert my 10.2 to a truggy. Can anyone give me advice on how to mount the front cab of the Mojave body? Pics and descriptions would be awesome!

This is how it sits today mocked up.

Thanks in advance!

You have the same Idea I do! I have both the rear cage and a SCX10 2 on the way! There are a few mounting kits on ebay from hong kong and china! You can just drill holes in the body to line up with the pre existing body post or you can fabricate your own mount!

I tried the second pictured mounts on my scx10 and they didn't work at all. I would have had to redrill the holes to get it centered on the front wheels. I ended up going with a set of mounts made by Keep It Simple Stupid Fab (K.I.S.S.) on facebook. I had him build me a set for the Mojave crew cab with a 12.3 wheelbase.

He makes them for the standard cab too. I am ordering a set for a truggy build.

They have the mounts and built in link mounts, and they work as sliders also. Pretty nice setup.

I am currently doing the same thing...same rear cage as well. I went with SMF rc Works for the body mounts and rock sliders. Very quick to answer questions and turn around time was exceptional. I am patiently waiting for the mailman to deliver them.

I just picked up a scx10 II, and I had this very same thought.

RC4WD makes an interior for this body, it kinda looks like it’s the RC4WD way of installing that body to an scx10. I’m going to try that first, and if I need more parts then so be it!

To be honest..I wish I would have done a little more research before I pulled the trigger on the RC 4WD CCHand rear cage like pictured above. I did see the interior you were talking about and it’s definitely cool.. but cringed when I saw the price in addition to what I had already paid for the rear cage.

Am Confused Here, Is The Tamiya Hilux Cab The Same As The Mojave Cab?

From what I can tell yes...I just received my Mojave body the other day and compared it to the og Bruiser body I have....they look identical to me. The beds are way different though. I have to read up on how to post pictures from a mobile and I post a comparison picture of the 2 if someone doesn’t beat me to it.

Ok...I hope I’m doing this right! As far as dimensions go they measure and appear to be the same. The painted body is an OG Tamiya Bruiser from the early 80’s and the gray one is the new Mojave body I just received...there are some slight variations in the molding like door handles and holes for the wipers...

I did it right!!! Lol
