Dove tail bed Help - HILUX
 

I need some help with how to go about dove tailing a hilux bed. The biggest question I have is how to deal with the tail gate. Pics would be very helpful.


I have almost finished dove nosing the cab. Lots of info on that but cant find much info on dove tailed beds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cut tailgate out then remove the desired amount of floor out. Do your pinch then cut down the tailgate to match your new dimensions.

Ok, thanks. That gets me a little closer. Any suggestions on how to deal with the lettering on the tail gate? And for the tailgate latches, should I cut around them or through them?


Next time someone that knows what they are doing doves a bed they should snap some pics. I'm sure it would help some people out. I know it would help me, I'm a visual learner :mrgreen:

Take material from the middle of the tailgate. This will allow you to preserve the hinges!
