Yeah, they do. They are longer wheelbase. LJ Rubicons hold their value unlike anything else. LJ Sahara Rubicons even more so.

A well conditioned goes from $15,000 to $20,000 if you can find them.

Correction 3 years. I'm not very good at math.

Yes, it is much harder to find an LJ these days where the owner doesn't want as nearly as much as they paid for it new, I really liked these longer ones when they came out and still do. I remember looking at one at a hole in the wall buy here pay here lot where banks own all the cars in the lot still and saw an X version with the 6-speed, I know they made a million of the short w/b models with the X package with a 6 speed, but when I sat in this LJ I knew it was a gem, they must of made a short run of them in the couple years they made them.

Yeah they did, and the wheelbase on them is better for hill climbing, crawling, etc...

They (LJ) looks a lot longer in photos such as in the OP, but didn't know if it was an optical illusion. Also didn't know Wrangler wheelbases varied that much these days. I think long wheelbase Wranglers are horrible looking. And I always have thought that since the CJ days.

These are nice if you can wait the 3-4 weeks to ge tit.

Making an LJ i think would be fairly easy if you didn't want to keep the "Factory Look" of the bed tub rolls if your going topless. When you cut the tub in the back to lengthen it, a piece of Styrene can be used to fill the gap.

The ones linked are cheap enough that to make the "Factory Look" LJ i would get two. If you want it to be more "Factory" then that is where the 2nd body comes in. You can used the 2nd tubs center wheel well section to fill in the gap keeping the tub shape at the top where it rolls.

Or you can just use a section of styrene, go full rock armor panels and roll to top around the whole bed.

Then contact one of our vendors to make you a cage suitable for the Rubicon.

I buy a lot from banggood and I usually choose to pay a little more for priority mail, it's 7-12 days. This body doesn't have that so it's 7-20 unless you want to pay $11.

I bought the $39 D90 from them and it's great for the price.

Anything come of this?
I wanted a TJ too, settled on a JK. Close enough for me. [shrug]

I wish there were more lexan bodies available...like a 57 chevy pickup, a mid-70's ford, and maybe a scout or something.

I always liked the "balanced" look of the LJ as a Half-cab.
