Paint wash for lexan?

A paint wash technique seems good for hard bodies, but is there any way to bring out detail and create a weathered look for lexan?

What about a matte finish? Is that possible with Lexan (without cracking/peeling)?

I've used skins before, but would rather roll my own.

To do a matte finish on Lexan you could buy PS - 55 from Tamiya. That's a flat clear. After painting the inside of the shell you can trim off any of the overspray protection on what you need to be flat (if not the whole vehicle) and spray that on the outside of the shell. Check out Hemistorm on YouTube. He uses this technique for flat black.

I have had pretty good luck using washes on lexan. I paint the body first then use rust wash. Then lightly sand to get desired effect. Last use black to bring out the door and body lines. My next one i'm going to try the rust wash first.
