lexan paint is expensive.
I use transparent Lexan Paint
and after that I can apply my inexpensive paints.
I always paint the inside.

I was on ebay the other day and found some tape called PolyMode Tape. It comes in A length of 12 Feet and peels into triangular strips for painting Camoflauge. I am painting today and will put some pics up later.

The tape is very helpful! I just put it on the car in a random pattern, painted green and black then took the tape off and painted brown and white! looks amazing! Ill post up some pics soon.

how do you paint the thin silver/chrome lines in between the colored 'spikes' on this body? Or are they an applied pinstripe (if so, who makes it?)? Great job on this body!

I cant get that link to work for me. How about pouring the paint into the body and swishing it around and just pour out the excess.

I use tamiya primer. Regular primer for painting hardbody and tamiya fine primer for painting chrome parts.

I'm a scale noob, but on my full size rig, on bare metal I de-grease, apply a rust preventitive like POR-15, prime then paint. On previously painted metal I just sand lightly then paint. Seems like this would be the same for scaled down parts.

I used to use actual petrol in the 80's to strip paint of my lexan shells. It still required a fair bit of scrubbing, but did enable a body to be re-used. Ahhh, those were the days when I was on pocket money lol! Also if you do take this path,do it outside & make sure you wear a mask for the fumes, it takes roughly 30 minutes of scrubbing to strip all the paint off.
