Talking Lets......................see

IF YOU WANT A CRAWLER THAT DOESNT GET SCRATCHED UP THAT YOU ACTUALLY DRIVE,,,,IS IMPOSSIBLE IF YOURE REALLY ROCK CRAWLING ITS GOIN TO GET SCRATCHED NO MATTER WHAT U DO...... U COULD ALWAYS PUT IT IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER THEN IT A HUMIDIY CONTROLLED GLASS BOX AND STARE AT IT FOREVER.... BUT THAT WOULDNT REALLY WORK FOR CRAWLING..

This is exactly what I needed. I've never done any painting with RC stuff before and I'm getting ready to jump right into it.

Good article, but my advice is just dive in and do it. The more time you spend, the better the results. Just dont forget the basics!

Well if your rig is for show and go, its best to have a beater body that you dont care about. If you are really picky and you have nice anodized aluminum piping you dont want scratched, you can wrap them in masking tape or a plastic sleeve before wheeling.

Painting is like anything, practice makes perfect. The results might not be what you want the first time, or the fifth, but keep at it and it will improve!

One of the best tips...
Always apply paint in light coats, more coats that are thinner are less likely to run and drip, won't bleed under as easily and stick to the lexan better.

Well, simple yet affective way is to paint on the inside, then it wont be able to scratch unless you do some crazy shit and end up throwing rocks up inside of your body. good luck

I've used break fluid to strip lots of layers of paint off some vintage tamiya rims. Didn't hurt the plastic I'm sure it wouldn't hurt lexan. Good luck

The How To talks about using Denatured Alcohol to soften and remove paint.

Default lots of thoughts

That link left me with a ton of ideas and even more strategies to carry them out. I only hope I can produce something even close to those.
