Default Toyota Sr-5

I’m looking at getting this body and I would like to know how I can mount the body without cutting a slot out on the bed for shock mount clearance. I don’t want to loose flex/ switch to cantilever. Any suggestions?

Some more info would help, such as the truck you. I have mine on an scx10 and I have regular shock hoops on mine.

Sorry I was in class and was trying to write this fast. It’s an scx10.2 stock shock hoops, and it’s the proline Toyota sr5 lexan body

I just put one of these bodies on my youngest son'a scx10 chassis. The stock shock hoops sit up inside the fake tool box (or whatever it's meant to be) in the bed. Having said that, I'm not sure of the difference (if any) in the scx10 - scx10.2 chassis/shock hoops.

On the scx10 chassis, the body has a lot of rear over hang that doesn't allow running a stock rear bumper (it would sit way up under the bed). I'm still trying some things to work out a rear bumper for him.

I mounted the shocks from the screws on the lockouts on my SCX10 II to a simple bracket I fabbed out is aliminum sheet on the crossmember in between the shock hoops like the TF2 and I lost very little clearance/ articulation

Just a simple bracket fabbed out of some aluminum sheet mounted to the two holes on the rear crossmember

I have the same combo. No cutting needed. The extra body mount posts included if you have the kit version are a direct alignment with the shell's hole dimples (if you choose to drill the body). As easy to install as the stock shell.

Assemble front & back bodies first then treat as a single unit when mounting on frame. (I didn't... I test-fitted cab and bed separately, I thought it wouldn't fit and began to cut the bed... )

Thats pretty much how i had my rear set up on the TF2 for a long while, but it did not work that good with the K5 hard body, but you can still do a conventional upright setup i found out trying to stop the K5 flopping on its side.

In the end found out it was mainly my tires that was to blame for the poor drive with the K5 body, but i have moved on to SCX 10 II and put the TF2 on the back burner.
