i agree. their Toyota stuff is also fantastic. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/rc_nerds they should start with a 3D grill (with headlight and blinker buckets), mirrors, wipers, and maybe interior. eventually... a BED? *just remembered they already have some mirrors that would look great on a 79 ford... https://www.shapeways.com/product/DV...ionId=61409263 i need to order a couple sets of those! i don't see any inner fenders from rcnerds. spare time hobbies has a set on shapeways for the ascender. thanks for pointing that out, though. i will need a front set, at least. (especially with those huge fender openings) only thing is, i am a little timid on 3D printed RC stuff, because of the heat warpage. out here in san diego its 90 degrees today. IN OCTOBER! so 3D printed stuff kinda... eh. i try to avoid it if i can. i might even bo as far as casting stuff i get from shapeways and making a copy (for myself! not for sale) out of rubber (for mirrors) or something a little flexible that would resist heat warping. i would sure not complain if santa left me a 3D printer under the tree though... been wanting one for years and i have multiple hobbies that would benefit greatly from 3D printing! also on a side-note: hooyah, cruisers! i was on Lake Erie last year. worst ship in my 18 year career lol Last edited by Shinchu; 10-26-2017 at 11:25 AM. |

| Re: New Pro-Line 1979 Ford F150 Acender body Heat warping is only an issue with some types of PLA, anything printed in ABS or Nylon (like most Shapeways stuff) isn't going to warp.
