Default Question about tire clearance.

Hi guys. I’m looking at the PL 2008 F250 full bed body 3247-00 for my SCX10ii. From photos I’ve seen, the wheel arches seem to be very small. If I want to run Hyraxes, will I need to do a crazy amount of trimming? Also, if I try to mount the body low, will the rear shock hoops protrude through the bed? Thanks.

I looked at that body in the LHS using 4.5" tires they had on the shelf. I run Hyrax and they are 4.75". IMO, the fender wells aren't near big enough to provide clearance if you want the tires to stuff up inside the fenders during flex.

Thanks number9, that's what I thought but it's always reassuring to get confirmation from someone having seen the real thing.

NP man. I really wanted to use an F250 or 2500HD body, and looked at both that day, with the 4.5 tires. Both bodies were too tight in the fender wells for my tastes. They'd work if you hogged the openings out, but I didn't want to do that.
