Look at picking up an iwata eclipse or revolution.

A good airbrush is worth a lot more used than a ghetto one.

Paasche all the way...

Ya don't need anything too fancy for painting car bodies. They're about $55 on amazon. You do need clean compressed air however - that is more of a challenge. If you have a compressed air source just install a moisture/oil trap. An airbrush uses very little air so pretty much any compressor will work.

Get one with the siphon feed mixing cups - easy to change colors and clean. They're actually very easy to use.

What ever you decide, upgrade to a premium product by going to hobbylobby and using their daily 40% off coupon. Online if you don't have a store locally.

I got one from Harbor Freight. It got good reviews and it was inexpensive. That way I didn't have a big entry fee for something I wasn't sure I was going to stick with.

You're going to have to ensure your air compressor is up to the task. Airbrushes use more air than I would expect and a constant supply of dry air is crucial.

This guy has tons of reviews. Great site: https://sites.google.com/site/donsairbrushtips/
