Default Plastidip Backing?

I'm working on a Proline JK Unlimited body for my SCX10. I'm installing the light buckets (DinkyRC) for headlights and taillights and planning on painting the body white. I'm using polycarbonate paint for the body and was wondering what the best way is to back the white? There are mixed reviews on plastidip on RC bodies but I'm thinking the plastidip would better seal the light buckets? Or, should I back the white paint with black polycarbonate and only plastidip around the light buckets?

Looking for advice as this will be my first custom paint on an RC.

thanks!

Silver is good for backing white. If you didn't get perfect coverage with the white, it won't show up like a dark color will.

I seal the lights with hot glue or Shoe goo, then flat black the entire thing. I've had overspray get under the light buckets, so I like to seal them off first.

I ended up backing the white with silver and backing everything with black lexan paint. Turned out great and I’m glad I decided to back with silver first to help with bleeding!

I backed white with black once and it came out looking gray . Silver was a smart move.

For sure! A few silvery spots around the fenders but not too noticeable from a distance.
