Default Hardbody paint question

I’ve got a blazer body with a coat of primer and then a coat of paint. I want to go a different route with the paint scheme. Can I sand it lightly and prime is again? Or do I just sand it and paint the new colour?

Just sand it with wet and dry 1200g to 2000g with soapy water in a bucket until the shine is off the paint then wash with clean water dry and repaint

Scuff sand, tac cloth, re-shoot. No need to re-prime as you've got your base coat already. Probably a bit late to this party, but............
