Default Tamiya paint question for lexan

Finally getting my son's body painted this week. Our original layout changed so I have the original idea started (green on roof) then I masked it off and painted the silver. I have a few more coats of silver to do today then I'll let it cure for a day or so. Everything that's masked off in the picture will now be all roof color green...
So
After I let the silver cure what should I back it with BEFORE I put green down? I'm thinking white so it keeps the silver bright and the white will stop the green from coming through???

White should work, so long as you get enough coats on. Generally you want to paint the darkest color first to keep it from making your bright colors too dark. In cases like this, I'd spray one of the lexan scraps that you have left over (hopefully) and see how it looks with white, then green, to see how it works.

I just painted a car fluorescent pink, then backed with white (7 coats of white) and then sprayed the small black sections. I took the risk of the black making the pink not as bright as I wanted, but with the barrier of white it turned out just fine.

His idea was to have the green and then silver like I did it but add silver to the hood. Then he said no just do the split to keep the grill the same....I don't have any left for lexan but I'll cut some from another body and do a sample like you suggested

Lasted idea was paint it how I'm doing it, then strip the green off my axial 1.9 beadlock rings and paint them silver we used on the body?
Anyone strip axial rings and used tamiya lexan paint on them?

Supossedly oven cleaner will remove the anodizing from aluminum.I would just polish the bare aluminum rings a little instead of painting them silver.

^^^Agreed, because painted outer rings will get chipped on rocks in no time - but scuffs on polished metal won't look nearly as noticeable... and can be once again be buffed off.
