Question Cabover bodies

Hello all, I love the look of a cabover crawler. I want to build one on a Trx-4 chassis. What 1:10 cabover bodies are available on the market? Only ones I have really found is the unimog. Thanks to photobucket alot of the pics that come up when I search I can't see. Does anyone use scale model bodies on their crawlers? Or is that a big no no? Thanks for any and all info. Have a great day!

The only ready made cab over I know of is the Axial Jeep F.C. Other than the ebay Unimogs.

Model bodys are typically 1:24 scale, much too small for a typical crawler. You may be able to find a 1:8 scale model, but they are fairly rare and expensive, and typically hot rods.

Tamiya has a line of semi trucks that are 1:14 scale and are bigger, but still look small on 1:10 scale chassis.

Check out this thread, there are a handfull of different plugins that can make photobucket links work again depending on what browser you use, it brings a lot of dead pictures back to life for me (using firefox)

OP, you didn't say if you wanted a lexan or hard body. I'm currently working on a cabover, it's a Bruder. They're kinda pricey to buy simply to tear apart but they hold up well and aren't too brittle.

A lot of cabover truck cabs are made up of flat panels.. can scratch build one?

Also, yesterday I was browsing fleaBay and there's a guy that makes a full suite of 3d printed accessories for that Jeep FC body... Bed rails, cabover roof rack, full cage for the bed area, rear spare tire mount... Really nice looking, the parts have built in support stiffeners that go underneath the body. The whole thing is probably pretty darn heavy, but it is incredibly good looking. Makes me want to buy one and set it up with those parts, I already have the concept vehicle's Hutchinson replica Command rings from LURC for the wheels.
