| Testors Paint
So I sprayed my body w testors “Pactra” series of paint but one can would cover that big ol K5 body. Can I finish it off with regular testors lacquer in the same color or will it not work as well? (Hobby shop was out of Pactra and hobby lobby had the same color)

^^^ Ya don't want to mix paint chemistries, all sorts of nightmarish crap always happens. Bodies are not cheap, paint is. Either order it online or call around to the multiple HobbyTowns in the Austin & surrounding area. |

I kinda figured as such. I hate to screw its up now. Btw, I’ve never had to use more than a can per body, but this thing is huge.

That's why I like Duratrax paint...4.5oz can, and I've had as good results with it as Tamiya, rattle can wise.

2nd 2mtech's comment! My LHS carries the DuraTrax cans and I've had great success with them. I've also used Tamiya paints for lexan and i've yet to find the gold that must be in there given the $!

For hard bodies I like to use Duplicolor automotive paint and primers.

I find myself using Tamiya because they make much more of a variety of colors, but if I were to use more basic colors I'd be fine with Duratrax - it's worked out great for me in the past.

Are we talking Lexan or had body? For Lexan I use Tamiya and Duratrax exclusively. Tamiya is a slightly higher quality IMO, but you get half as much paint so it ends up being about twice as expensive as Duratrax which works just fine.
