Not sure, but a great video - knows his way around a Dremel, Xacto blades, and a lighter, too!

I have come across this video doing research on weathering techniques. He has well developed talent, even the video is well done.

Like many, many, many folks, I am sure he is a member just never drops by

Thanks for reminding me of the video. There is much to learn in these few minutes.

There's lots of tutorials and materials out there for doing weathering/aging stuff - as well as specialized finishes. Like you can get stuff, that's sort of a paste/eye shadow that's specifically of doing exhaust (diesel) residue, blueing on titanium etc.

Using salt for masking has been a trick for hobby and gaming models for a while now.

You can end up down a rabbit hole with all the specialized stuff like weathering materials, pigments, washes etc... but if you get good stuff can look amazing

Another tip are washes, highly diluted paints brushed over a surface. Paint density drys in radium patterns. Accentuates areas like door & hood seams, where it collects.

Also colored chocks can be ground in a dust, and dusted and rubbed onto the model. The advantage here if you do not like the results wipe it clean Try again, to seal once applied, clear coat it .

I like weathering, but I also do not want the results to look like a heap falling apart.
