Default Tamiya PS Anaodized Green

Anyone used Tamiya PS Anodized Green on any builds? Would love to see some pictures. I'm trying to decide what color to do a Power Wagon body.

I actually just picked up a TRX-4 Sport body last night that was painted this color. I'll try to get some pics tonight, but I think it would suit the Power Wagon body well.

That would be great. I'm going back and forth between a few options for paint.

I'm doing mine like this...with the Anodized Green. I've already determined the layers and backing colors to make it look the same.

I came across that picture as well, that's a cool looking Power Wagon. Do you have a build thread yet for yours? I do like the anodized green, but I don't know if I want the metallic look.

If you want the green in your pic, this Krylon Fusion should do the trick:

I've wondered about using Krylon on lexan, does it work as well as a polycarbonate paint?

See this thread - I posted up about finding some great earthy colors and asked for experiences - got good responses:

Found some earth tone Krylon Fusion paints at my local Pep Boys

Thanks that gives me something to think about. I'll have to see what I can find around here.

That's very similar to the color of the body I bought. No idea how many coats he did, but its backed with black.

What colors/layers/backing/etc. did you do for that? I'm building a '66 C10 for my dad, and I think that color would be perfect for it!

This green looks pretty good, but I'm not a green fan. Tamiya did have a blue/green iridescent paint that is sadly discontinued.

I'm not much on green either, but this shade seems to work pretty well with the era. Especially in a green/white or green/black two-tone paint job.

I think I backed it with black but not 100% sure.

I like to use the the wheel well cut-outs as test pieces.

I spray varying layers of the intended colors, to achieve the color I'm trying to achieve. Then I use a Sharpie and write on the test pieces, the color, layers and how many coats I used. Then I can compare them, side-by-side to choose the best one.

Sometimes, our builds can get long intervals between work sessions, so this works great, especially when you have forgotten what you used and how many coats were used. It would also be helpful if you wanted to do another body, later on, in the same color.
