Default Krylon clear acrylic over pactra?

Painting the outside of an onroad body with pactra and considering spraying krylon acrylic clear on top of it is this a bad idea? Maybe someone here has tried this before?

I've heard some horror stories about using different paints / bases together. Your best bet would be to test it on a scrap sheet of lexan first. That way, if it all goes wrong, you don't destroy your body.

I used Krylon flat clear on 1 body before. It dried pretty hazy over the other paint, especially noticeable over black paint, but no other problems.

Thanks for the response i will spray some of the scrap lexan in the same colors as the body and test it with the krylon first and see what happens. I would hate to trash this body and spend another $100 to replace it

Yes, this. I've had really good experiences with Krylon flat clear but it does get hazy if you put on multiple coats. Use sparingly.

you could try plasti-dip clear gloss.
(yes shinchu is suggesting plasti-dip.. AGAIN. and no i don't work for them.)

might be a little orange-peely but it would flex with the body and probably wouldn't attack the pactra.
