| FJ45 Cab Cut From FJ40 Body - What Should I Do?
I'd like to build a Toyota FJ45 on an SCX10II chassis. I have a hard body RC4WD FJ40 GelandeII on leaf springs that I really like but I'd like to have one that is more of a standard crawler and less fragile. I really like to make a lexan one, but is it possible to cut a lexan body in two and re-attach the parts with some kind of adhesive? I've seen the glue thread for repairs and such, but has anyone successfully hacked up a lexan body like this? If so, what do you advise? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated also. |

I've heard drywall mesh and E6000 or shoeGoo.

So... If I do use this method with a strip of scrap lexan as a backing behind the seams, is there anything I can use to smooth out or fill the seams? | |
