Default white Tamiya paint PS-1 vs PS-57

Hi,

What is the difference between PS-1 white and PS-57 pearl white lexan paint from Tamiya?

Can we really see any difference on a painted body ?

If you have photos with these two variants of paint on bodies, I'm interested

Well it’s on two bodies. The VS4 roof is pearl.
The Enduro is white.
The original paint is now gone so no direct comparison.
I think this does show the difference, the pearl is warmer

Yeah if I had to imagine the pearl white should be just the slightest bit "warmer" than the standard white.

Doesn't Pearl have some metallic in it?

Thank you
With pearl white, do you need to add another paint behind it, or only pearl white is enough to get a good aspect ?

I backed it with bright White........
What Hemistorm taught me was to remember we look at bodies without light behind.A couple of mist coats, then white to keep the color correct. I’ve always shot dark to light on lexan due to this. It has a shimmer to it, but not as much “flake” as TS Mica’s do.
I was quite happy with it.
