TRX4 Sport body on TRX4 Crawler kit chassisc

I’m considering getting a TRX4 Crawler kit (313mm) and fitting a TRX4 Sport or Camper body on the TRX4 Crawler Kit. Do the fenders of the Crawler kit hamper the fitment or not? Any other bodies that you could suggest without the need to do some cutting or adjusting to fit with the Crawler kit’s fenders as I understand these could be a bit problematic? Any advice and pictures would be appreciated.

Great pics, thanks. Not many of TRX Sport though.

The TRX Crawler kit (TRX82016-4) has a 12.3in wheelbase and although there are a range of third party bodies out there, my concern is that they won’t fit over the fenders of this kit.

The sport bodies will fit on the TRX4 kit, but the kit inner fenders do hamper it. You'll need to get a set of narrow inner fenders if you want to keep fenders on the truck. There's a space between the fender and the body, so if you want a closer fit, they have extensions you can install on the narrow fenders, which you can trim to fit.

As far as other bodies, the Traxxas Bronco and Blazer will fit on the kit with out having to modify anything.

Much appreciated. I will look into it.

I would appreciate an indication of how wide and long the fenders are that come installed on the TRX4 unassembled chassis kit. It doesn't show on the Traxxas website. Thanks.

Re: TRX4 Sport body on TRX4 Crawler kit chassisc

Thanks for the inputs. I will consider the Sport body on the TRX4 kit. Do I just lower the rear mount to fit it?

I have also looked at other non-Jeep bodies to use on the TRX4 12.3 kit instead of the Sport body. However, most seem to require the fenders to be removed from the kit chassis. Any suggestions on which other bodies will allow keeping the fenders on the chassis without needing lots of trimming/cutting?

This clip is quite interesting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYP9rSC3UGk.
