Default New to scale crawler...body fitment help

Hey guys first off great forum full of info for someone new to the hobby like me.

I bought a remo 1093-st to see if i would enjoy this hobby again. Had a few rc's 20 yrs ago..clodbuster, stampede, and hpi rs4. Got out of hobby when all my friends moved away and sold everything. I enjoy the truck and for the budget friendly pricing. I bought a jeep body but it will not fit the transmission hold the body to high and i really like the scale look of the interior. Is there away to lower the transmission? Also how do you add pictures ?

What Jeep body is it? The "Remo" appears to be a mix of SCX10/SCX10 II clone. Pics would also help.

Lower the transmission ? Probably not enough to clear the floor. Takes some fab work but the motor and trans can be moved under the hood. Then chop some holes for the rear hoops and viola the body fits.... somewhat.

Hard bodies are tough to get mounted. I'm with donny8594 on moving the motor and trans under the hood. As hobbyjumper suggested, you could add a transfer case under the tunnel to keep the drive shafts in place and connect a smaller shaft to trans in the front. If you keep it as is, it's gonna take some fab work if you don't hack the body.

Another option...keep that body for a more scale chassis in the future, and throw a lexan body on this guy.
