Default Bobbing & Rejoining Lexan

Ok, I have searched a bit...
I plan to bob a bed for my latest trail rig. I see Weld On #45 and SC-325 are glues (two part I believe) are some choices as I have found in a search here.
Large quantities for such a small project IMO.

Also an Amain product came up, Plastruct Plastic Weld Cement, which claims to be a filler too.
Anyone have experience with this product? Good that it comes in a small quantity (2 oz.).

With any of these products, am I correct to assume if I bond on the inside of my body, I will have to paint on the exterior so as to get full paint coverage?
Can I butt join or do I need to lay down a backing piece of lexan?

Trying to wrap my head around this... TIA

I don’t think those will work. If you want to paint on the outside, shoe goo and drywall mesh will be your answer. After curing overnight, it is stronger than lexan.

Yes, agreed. Shoe Goo or E6000. Both are flexible adhesives that stick really well to lexan.

Thanks gentlemen. So I have two recommendations...
Show goo & drywall mesh, or shoe goo and backed with a lexan layer (drilled with various holes for the shoe goo to sink into - my thought). Each weighted until dry... good?
And a ever so accurate hand with my dremel thin cut blade.

Both are messy, I prefer the mesh , and go back a day later and recoat for strength. Many SC bodies lasted years this way.... albeit fugly!

I bobbed my Power Wagon, and with advise here I have a decent outcome. I lucked out and got good cuts. Shoe Goo & wallboard mesh are holding well.
Thanks!
