Default Hardbody square body chevy truck

I'm helping my buddy build his first rc and hes wanting to do a hardbody square body chevy truck and I've searched Google I've searched here and I can only seem to find the blazer which he likes but he'd really like a truck instead of the blazer and I'm pretty sure I saw one on youtube the other night. Can anyone point me in the direction of one or is he gonna have to run with the blazer? Thanks.

Well, you could get the RC4WD Blazer and then go to this link for modding it into a truck - has cab back, bed extensions, bumpers, the whole 9 yards:

The Tamiya Clod Buster body is the only hard, square body pickup that I know of. They're on eBay.

I agree with Durok - converting the Blazer with printed parts is probably your best bet, and should not be overly challenging, although it will take a bit of cutting, gluing, bondo, sanding and painting.

I personally think the clod body is way too small / narrow, plus to make it look good you will need to patch over the sun roof and drop the bed, so you'll be into the bondo and sanding either way.

JConcepts does have a lexan body made for 12.3" trucks, so if he's willing to forget about the hard body, at least there's a squarebody option.

I actually bought the j concepts lexan square body but hes dead set on a hard body. I'll look more into the link for modifying the blazer but I'm not sure either of us are ready to start that big of a project with zero experience so well prob just stick to the blazer unless he's feeling pretty confident about modifying. Thanks for the help guys

10-4. I knew I had seen one of these. I was trying to find a late model K5 type Jimmy. I was thinking of a build for my son in the Navy.

Pro-line used to make a Lexan late model Chevy ext./crew cab that was cab only. It's been disconti And they still make Lexan late models for the Stampede / monster trucks. However, they may be a bit out of scale for 1/9~1/10 crawlers.

Powershift RC did have a 3D-printed cab at one time. But it was really expensive.

RC4WD Blazer / Blazer Converted Crewcab pickup

Clod

I prefer the clod body, but sometimes it ends up being a ton of work. The RC4WD Blazer is much larger then the Clod body as well.
