Default STHA Toyota HiLux paint

I finished my rc4wd trail finder 2.
Time to share it with everybody.

Base color is krylon pumpkin orange, then it’s a mix of washes and painted highlights to get the proper look.
Rust has a been done with steel wool sprayed with white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and coarse salt that activates the rusting effect.

Driver and interior for the rc4wd Trail Finder 2 finished.
I used the factory dashboard + rc4wd bench, then built the bottom and sides section with styrene to fit the body.
I kept this simple as it won't seen to much once installed, but just enough to get the right feeling. Works pretty well I think.
Still working on the body paint, so we’ll need to wait before seeing all this together…

Looks fantastic. On a 1-10 scale, I'll give it an 11.

Wow! Your painting skills and photography skills are nothing short of amazing. The interior is so impressive. It really does look like an almost 40 year old Hilux that's been used and abused. This is how the interior would look in the real, 1:1 world.

Great work!

cool!

Did you check my d90? I like it too. So much fun to drive, you need to pick to line very carefully with this one.

Excellent scale detail and the photos are great as well. What are you using to take the pictures?

Thank you!

I use different things: usually a sony a6500 + many lenses (canon, sony, minolta, etc...) from 18mm to 450mm depending of the needs.

Picture above was shot with the sony a6500 + canon 85mm f1.8, shot at 1.8.

Or a canon 5d mark I when I want an image that is softer:

Sometimes I use flashlights things up a bit:

With gels to get a specific look: https://sthahome.files.wordpress.com...8-1.jpg?w=1024

Have fun!

Hehe! thanks man
I can't wait to go back doing more...We made a nice trail for a video deep in the forest but someone decided to put a trailer up there to live, right on the trail. Sad.
But we have a new one in progress. It takes close to 1.5 hour back and forth to make it
Stay tuned...
