| Stickers and clear coat?
Hello friends, I'm looking for something that'll protect the stickers on my lexan bodies. I thought about sealing them in with a clear coat, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea? What do you recommend?

I've applied light coats of Krylon and Tamiya matte clear over vinyl stickers without issue. Most stickers should be fine although some aerosols could cause certain stickers to lift or wrinkle. Make sure that edges are burnished firmly in place and use light coats.

Other than clear coat, there's nothing that will protect them once put on the outside of the body. You can scan them and print them on water transfer paper, then install the new decals inside the body before painting. |

I've had decent luck with Testors Wet Look over decals/stickers, but you'll need to tape off the surrounding area and only use a couple light, mist coats. The Wet Look dries...well, wet looking, so you shouldn't have to sand or polish or mess with the area.
