Default Easyoff

So I've used easyoff to remove paint off old plastic models with out damage to the plastic. Has anyone tried this on a hard body? I just picked up another rc4wd 4runner that has a god awful paint job and wanted to strip it

I couldnt find any any easy off at the LHS so I chucked the bumper off my xtracab in a bowl of the green Protek cleaner and to my surprise in about 7 hours it was all off. I'm sure easy off is better/faster, but if you happen to have some of the cleaner just use it.

Easy off is an oven cleaner found at Walmart, and such.

Purple power degreaser (in most states outside of CA) is strong enough to strip paint too.

Used to use automotive brake fluid too, worked on some lexan and all hard bodies.

Yeah, I wasn't willing to drive 1.5 hours to get to Walmart lol. The only bad thing about not living in Kona nor Hilo.

When i say LHS, I mean Local hardware store, since I have no hobby shops

I used it on a 1/24 scale plastic model with great success. I will add that it was molded in color and the cleaner kinda etched the surface making it look a little more dull, it was not a problem for me because I was painting it anyway
