Default Jeep Body

I'm looking for a clear Lexan jeep body, 12.3" wheelbase.

Old style WWII type - no top. I've heard they are available but I can't find one anywhere.

Any direction would be appreciated.

Gmade makes a lexan Jeep body. 287mm wheelbase though. That's 11.3"

Thanks but need regular 1/10 scale which is 12.3 +/- a tad.

RGT makes an older jeep too, but it is the same wheelbase.

A 12.3" jeep would be closer to 1/6 scale, I'd be curious to learn who made it.

So maybe a mixture of things here. My chassis needs a 12.3" wheelbase body. Perhaps a 1/10 scale Jeep would have a lessor wheelbase, like maybe 11.3" or something to be 1/10 scale. OK - then the Jeep body I'm looking for would not be 1/10 scale but whatever scale comes out to a 12.3" wheelbase. If that's 1/6 scale then I guess that's what I need. I need the wheelbase regardless of what scale that might be. That may be why I'm having a difficult time finding what I need. I did see a 1/6 scale Jeep recently - I'll have to try and remember where I saw it.

Thanks for helping me clarify my search.

ROC Hobby makes a 1/6 jeep with a 12.8" wheelbase. It's a hard body though.

Redcat makes a 1/8 scale Commando body with a 12.8" wb. There are also other Jeep 12.3 bodies available like the JKU, JT, and JConcepts has a 60ish M117 military pickup. Is your wheelbase adjustable? That would make it easier to get a larger body.

If your set on an WWII era jeep body, I think your only options are going to be 1/6 scale hard bodies like the Rock Hobby Jeep and Hasbro Willys or Dragon Jeep model kit. The early Jeeps had a wheelbase of 80" which would make your 12.3" wb equal to 1/6.5 scale.

Injora makes different versions of the Wrangler and the Cherokee at 12.3 wheelbase. They are hard bodies though, not lexan.

There are 2 versions - 1/12 scale and 1/6 scale that look identical. Hopefully you got the 1/6 scale.

Semi Hard body. Its not like the RC4WD Hard bodies. This is more like the plastic from the HASBRO GI Joe bodies. Thick plastic, a little flexible and durable.

These days I'm not used to hard bodies so that should work out fine.

Well now...that looks pretty darn sweet! A set of 2.2's might look a little more scale for that body, but I'm diggin the color.

You're right - 2.2's would look great. But this is sitting on an SSD Trail King Chassis that would have to be modified somewhat to accommodate them. At least at this point I'm reluctant to do that. And, it climbs and trails great - also good for comments from people passing by due to the Jeep body. It's turned out to be one of my favorites!

Well, I was thinking...keep those tires and just stretch those puppies onto some 2.2's. Shouldn't need to mod the chassis at all. Just my 2cents.
