I did the same kind of thing on my tow truck. Painted the inside with copper/flat brown Tamiya Acrylic paint, then six coats of different colors on the outside. I color sanded it so you could see multiply layers of paint showing through. It didn't hold up very well over time. Every time I flopped it over, pieces of paint would flake off the outside. I think it was my bad though, I should have used lexan paint, not acrylic. Looked good for awhile, though. Last edited by War Pig; 11-06-2007 at 09:25 PM. |

how about painting the inside the brown, then paint the outside the color of choice and let the rocks do the rest..... That's how real trucks get to look like that, so why not let the RC's do it the same way.....You need to earn your rock rash, not fake it. |
