Toyota Tacoma Body?

Who knows where I can find a Tacoma body for a scale build?

jeepguy7891 05-02-2007 10:54 PM

look up Jim's build

BGGruff 06-08-2007 12:18 PM

Ok. I was asking about a Tacoma Body in an earlier post and got refered to Jim's build. there is a picture on RCC home page of a teal green Tacoma with a camper shell on it crossing a creek and I was wandering where they got that body and who's it is. I have a '99 Tacoma 4WD Standard cab and would like to have one for a scale build to match my 1:1. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Hi, I think the truck that you see is a Tamiya F-350 Hi-lift. It is the green one in the water with a bunch of leaves around it right?

BGGruff 06-08-2007 12:40 PM

Yea that's it. I swear it looks like a Tacoma!

NoblesvilleKid 06-08-2007 12:51 PM

Kinda hard to tell if your new because its halfway under water

If I'm new? Because it's halfway under water? Please explain what u mean.

NoblesvilleKid 06-08-2007 01:02 PM

I mean that if you have not seen the Hi-lift much it is hard to tell what it is because it is in the water. Sorry

BGGruff 06-08-2007 01:07 PM

No, that's cool...I just didn't understand totally what u were getting at. I've seen the hilifts before but it doesn't really look like one. I still need some info on a Tacoma body, so if you got any clues please fill me in.

parma has a lexan tundra body if that can help you any. That is what I used when I built a clod to look like the Peterson Ultimate Adventure Tacoma.

Its an F-350, the one on the homepage is my truck "thumbsup" water proof ESCs are fun

as for Tacoma bodies, "jims" Tacoma body is from a radio shack truck. But its closer to 1/12 scale. Good for an XC

Yea. The first body I got was the Parma Tundra...Didn't care for it too much so I mutilated it trying to make it work for my Tamiya F150 racing truck. I ended up getting one of those Associated Yota Bajas and made it into my first Crawler and used the stickers from the Tundra to make it look more like a Yota. One day I'l have pics to post, but got to get the upgrade membership first!

BGGruff 06-09-2007 09:33 AM

Thanks Mnster! Have the Tundra...Mutilated, maybe I can salvage it for a future build. Have the Baja and its my first TLT Crawler and it turned out pretty good. The other one isn't quite what I'm looking for. I know I'm being picky, but eveyones familiar with the 95-99 Tacos, that's what I want. Guess one day someone will release something like that, hopefully!!! I.E Pro-Line, HPI, etc.
