This was my first year to compete in RC Rock Crawling and what a blast it was. I wanted to spend time with my son, Hittman, so I picked up what he was most interested in. Our State competition was in the four corners area where the people and the landscape were unique and awsome. I was fortunate enough to place second in the sportsman class and qualify for Nationals. Hittman took first place in both classes in his second year of competition. So off to Nats we go. Nationals was an incredible and memorable experience. I enjoyed meeting, competing, watching and hanging out with all of the drivers, judges, sponsors and everyone who supported the event. I underestimated the magnitude of the event but being with such a large group that are the best at what they do was awsome. Yes we are grown men playing with toy trucks but we take it serious.  . It was cool to watch the drivers from the UK, Canada, Australia and Japan. Watching the group from Japan was one of the highlights because they had so much fun at everything they did. Even when the crowd did not understand what they were saying we were all smiling and laughing with them. That group thing they did the first day in the Sportsman class was awsome to see and hear!!!!We camped with the crowd which put us right in the middle of it all. The Pros ran just feet from our tents. We hung out and partied with people from all over the US and abroad. I thought it was a lot of fun and hope I am blessed with the opportunity to attend next year. I was very impressed with the way Fish and all the Fishettes ran the show. Thanks for standing in the sun all day Friday and the rain most of Sunday. I noticed bloody shins on several judges Saturday. Prescott was scenic and welcoming. I enjoyed the lake and would like to return. Sven and Harley both did an incredible job with the coverage. Only thing left to say is Thank you to all who made this possible.
