Axial Contingency: Not Required but its free $$$$.

Competitors must use either or both: 1). Axial bodies (XC-1, Trail Ranger, Rat Rod, etc) or 2). Axial Axles. Using both products will qualify you for both contingencies.

Requirements: At least (2) Axial decals visibly located on each side of the body. Stickers must be at least 2 inches in size (width). Contingency decals can be obtained by email – exclusive use of Axial decals is required: marketing@axialracing.com.

It is the entrants responsibility to neatly apply the decals.

The 2.2 PRO class:
• Axial Axles: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, or 3rd Place $50
• Axial Body: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, or 3rd Place $50
• Axial *SWX Pro Rig: 1st Place $500 (not eligible for the additional Axle/Body contingency)

The 2.2 Novice class:

• Axial Axles: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, or 3rd Place $50
• Axial Body: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, or 3rd Place $50
• Axial **AX10 Stock Novice Rig: 1st Place $400 (not eligible for the additional Axle/Body contingency)

* REQUIRED: SWX chassis, AX10 axles, AX10 transmission and an Axial body. ALLOWED MODIFICATIONS: Changing shocks/spring, tires, wheels, electronics, drive shafts, links, etc. are allowed.
** REQUIRED: Original AX10 chassis, AX10 axles, AX10 transmission and an Axial body. ALLOWED MODIFICATIONS: Changing shocks/springs, tires, wheels, electronics, drive shafts, links, etc. are allowed.

The 2009’ WCC will be using a modified version of the 09’ USRCCA rules.

PLEASE NOTE: These are the 3 amendments:

(1), Each driver will receive 1 warning per wheelbase for a back-up.
If the vehicle rolls back less than 1" it is considered a warning. If it does it again, even less than an inch, that will be counted as a back-up. Anything over a 1" back-up is an intentional reverse and no warning will be called. You can only receive 1 warning per wheelbase of your rig.
Example: You are negotiating a climb and have already received your warning. Anytime you back up or rock from that warning, it is considered a back-up until you have cleared the imaginary line where your warning was called. You must be 1 complete wheelbase past your warning to receive another free warning.

(2), There are NO repairs off-course. All repairs must be done on-course and on the clock.

(3), In 2009 there is no progressing a gate with 20 MAX points.

2.2 Novice Class Requirements:
This class is to promote the sport of RC rock crawling. These drivers should be entry-level drivers that want to have the chance to compete at a championship event. The only changes are as follows:

(1). All USRCCA 2.2 vehicle requirements and rules apply to the novice class.

(2).No front or rear dig is allowed. If a novice driver is caught using dig, the driver will receive an immediate 50 for that course.

(3).

2.4.4- (6/11/09)- Electronics restriction: All novice competitors are now limited to running 2 channels. 3-11 channel radios are allowed, but are limited to the following devices being plugged in. Channel 1 is considered steering and channel 2 is considered electronic speed control. BEC devices will also be allowed upon inspection and approval from the Head marshal. BEC's must be in the designated BAT port on the receiver.

(example A) If you own a losi crawler with dig installed. Only the steering servo, speed control, and BEC are permitted to be plugged into their appropriate port. Meaning no power can be supplied through any other channel than 1 or 2 or Bat. No power to the dig servo.

(Example B) If you own a berg with one speed control, Only the steering servo, speed control, and BEC are permitted to be plugged into their appropriate port. Meaning no power can be supplied through any other channel than 1 or 2 or Bat. No power to a dig system.

(Example C) If you own a berg with 2 speed controls, Only the steering servo, ONE speed control, and BEC are permitted to be plugged into their appropriate port. Meaning no power can be supplied through any other channel than 1 or 2 or Bat. The second speed control must be plugged into a Y harness with the primary speed control for power.

Tech inspection for novice class is now done before you run each course. If a novice driver is caught using dig during a event. That driver will receive a 50 for each coarse of the day.

The ‘07, ‘08 Axial West Coast Championship changed RC rock crawling competitions, as we know it today. Come and be a part of another history making event.

CAMPING

As far as camping goes, Donner ski ranch has no fees. Donner has a large parking lot across from the main park and it is open to anyone. If you are looking to stay in a room, Truckee is the nearest location from Donner. There is a link to the rooms above, but I think for the cost and fun factor, camping is the best bet. Also, be aware of, that the camping lot is not an actual camping site. It’s actually huge dirt lot.

Please note that Donner ski ranch is approx 25 minutes from Truckee, CA and approx 1 hour from Reno. There are no stores in the near vicinity of the event and it is advised to be prepared.

ON-SITE AMMENITIES

Donner ski ranch has an on site restaurant and bar, as well as a huge parking lot for people looking to bring an RV or camp-out and stay for the parties.

LOCATION

First and fore most, we have the best spot on the mountain for the competition. The site is approx ¼ mile up the mountain and has spectacular views.

Donner ski ranch is expecting over 4000+ spectators, so please keep in mind there will be children around.

We have no issue with drinking, but for picture reasons, Axial racing is supplying beer koozies to each driver at the event for the beverage of your choice.

There are no cars & trucks allowed up the mountain. “Quiet” 4x4 quads are aloud as well as Polaris ranger type vehicles. As far as planning for your day, please bring all your crawlers, tools, food and drinks up with you in the morning. Ckrc crawlers and sierra sport and marine will have a buggy with trailer and 3 Polaris rangers there between 7:00 am and 8:00am to bring your crawlers and supplies up the hill. We will be picking up supplies up at the axial booth. Don’t be late; this year there will be no late transportation, Period!

Donner Ski Ranch is Enforcing the Following Rules:

• No dirt bikes.
• No cars or trucks.
• No beer bottles or glass on the mountain.
• No ice chest allowed soft pack coolers are acceptable.
If anyone is found violating any of the above, Calrocs will be escorting these people off the mountain, and you will not be allowed to return.

All drivers will receive a wristband for the weekend. Anyone who is in your group who is not competing will have to pay 15.00 for the 2-day pass or 10.00 for the 1-day wristbands. The bands are available at the front gate.

2009’ WCC will have a all new format.

Saturday, (80) 2.2 “PRO” drivers will be running 4 courses to determine the top (25) to go to Sundays competition.

Sunday, The top (25) “PRO” drivers will return to compete with the (40) 2.2 “NOVICE” drivers. All 65 drivers will be running on (4) shared courses.

Sunday, after 4 couses have been completed, we will be taking the top 10 from each class and running a 1 course semi-final shoot out. The top 5 will do another Final course shoot out to determine the winner. (pros who go to the finals will have run 10 courses)

The shootout will start with the 10th place driver going first and the 1st place driver going last. This format should prove to be very exciting and it will give spectators a better idea of who’s who and who’s in the chase for the title.

Note: your scores will not be cleaned for the semi finals.

ITINERARY

Sign ups:
3:00pm - 8:00 pm: sign-ups, NO TECH (read below), drawing poker chips for run order, and the welcome party begins at 8:00pm at the Donner Ski Ranch Bar and Grill.

• Saturday:
7:00am-8:00am: Online purchasers of Late registration will be signed in until 8:00am. Late registration is a $20.00 fee and can be purchased below.

Drivers meeting: 8:30 am at the CKRC Crawlers booth at the “TOP” of the hill.

Start of competition is 9:00am

We will be enforcing the time called to the line rule. When the competitor in front of you starts, you should have your car in place and ready to go as soon as he is done. As soon as the judge is finished with the previous driver, they will start the stopwatch and give you 30 seconds to start your course. If you have not started your course within those 30 seconds, you will receive a 50 for that course and the judge will move on to the next competitor. The BPRCA will try to be as fair as possible with this ruling, but everyone needs to understand that there are 160 competitors and we have to finish in a timely manner.

NEW TECH RULE:
Each course judge now has a CKRC tech station. If your rig is out of spec when its your turn to run, you will receive a 50 maximum point penalty and the judge will move on to the next competitor. NO EXCEPTIONS. Make sure your rig is set up properly to the 2009’ USRCCA rules.

Estimated end of event is approx 4:00 to 5:00pm.

At 5:00pm, Saturdays raffle will end with the drawing of the $1500.00 CKRC / Axial donated competition crawler.
Awards ceremony will follow.

• Sunday:

Drivers meeting: 8:30 am at the BPRCA booth at the “TOP” of the hill.

Start of competition at 9:00 am

Format will be run the same as the 2.2’s from Saturday.

Estimated time of completion would be between 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

At 4-5:00pm, Sundays raffle will end with the drawing of another mega prize.
Awards ceremony will follow.
