I'm in chicago o'hare right now with my 2.2 and dx3r. I checked everything else. Get a good backpack and you can easily carry a rig/tx/batteries. Security takes a few extra minutes, but its not usually a big deal.

Anybody try this. I am thinking about it. I have a bunch of paintball guns. Might be a way to keep my 2.2 and super safe.

never check your gear if you value it. always carry on. 1 carry on and a back pack.
back pack for cloths and small items
carry on for 2.2/1.9/radio/batts/charger and tools."thumbsup"
tools must be under 6"
and if your super dave he does all three with a back pack and a carry on:shock:
2.2/1.9/super it is quit impressive to see him pack it all:lmao:

I have never had a problem checking my rigs. And I have been East West and in between.

I will have a carry-on and backpack.

I always make sure I carry on my batteries, one time when I flew to California for a comp all my packs were DRAINED when I got there and would not take a charge.

Great advice just got a lipo bag to carry my batteries in my carry on."thumbsup"

I always wrap the ends with electrical tape on the deans and balance leads and drop them all in a zip lock.

When I had this problem it was with NiMh packs, long ago, not sure it'd be a problem with lipos, I have just never wanted to deal with getting all the way there again and being screwed by junk batteries.

I just flew from O'Hare to SF for the AWCC, checked all my clothes and tools/chargers, and carried on the Rigs/Radios/Batteries, and of course my iPhone...lol
