| Crawlin' pics from Allentown area
Did some crawling this weekend with my Bro-in-law and some buddies. These shots are heading up the Appalachian trail. Luckily the rain held off and we had a good time. |

What part of the trail are these pics from? I'm familiar with the East side of the Lehigh gap. I've hiked up there twice but haven't gotten up there to crawl yet.

We were crawling at the trail where it crosses over 248 at the end of 145 in walnutport. If you take 145 to the end, up past the home depot and everything you will come to a traffic light where 145 ends and turns into 248. If you quickly make a right turn, then a quick sharp left onto a small dirt road, there is a parking lot there were we park and crawl from. There are a lot of rocks in the area and is good fun for all trucks, comp truck, trail trucks, scalers etc. Let me know if you need further clarification.

| More scale crawlin' pics!!
Went up to my Bro-in-law's (TGH117) for New Year's and brought the crawlers along of course. Here's some pics of the fun... This second spot was at a much smaller stream, and with the frigid temps., the water was almost totally frozen. Like crawling on panes of glass, waiting for them to break! A lot of fun (if you don't mind a little frostbite...) Ahhhhh, get the winch!!! |

man Rick you got a bunch of good stuff right there by your place. A guy I work with runs at the old sand quarry in palmerton, and says there is nothing but rocks, and on the app trail right there at 248 adn 145 is usually where we run, we only ran short unplanned outings this weekend due to weather and lack of sleep. Will be sure to invite you Losi next time. The new place that we located is at the park behind the south mall on lehigh street, rocks are not overly challenging, but certainly good for some scalers. I will add my pics a little later wehn I can download them. |
