Default Indoor outdoor rock courses (scale and comp) Ehprata Pa.

We are curently building an indoor and outdoor rc crawler area in Ephrata pa. The area of the 322 and 222 intersection. There will be both scale and comp areas inside and out. We are looking to both see how much interest there is, and also see what people would like to see the facility. Please feel free to ask questions and make recomendations!!!!!

Thanks

Very exited to see this coming to an area so close to me!

If you can make it to one or more of our comps, we have both regular and scale comps, we would love to talk about this.

Thanks guys!

Going to try to make both local club comps sooner than latter.

We jave gotten alot done so far on the area and are looking for dirt rocks and so on so hopefully we can start doing some areas soon.

At this point we are looking at doing the indoor and outdoor rock areas as well as a dirt track for go fast type trucks (outdoors). We are also lookibg at putting a runway for rc aircraft in as well.

Website and facebook should be up tonight or tomorrow.

We are still looking for feedback as to what people would like to see happen!

Thanks
Eric Thrush

Default What you would like to see

Hello, Congrats on getting this course going. From one builder to another make sure you keep in mind the ability to change the course around. I helped the owner of a shop build one up here in Massachusetts and we are going through changing it now. We had our first winter Series of 10 events that went great, but we wanted to alter the terrain to make it different for the second year. We built with foam and grout and while i believe this technique gives you the ultimate course building flexibility it is not the easiest to modify. We are hacking bits away and adding to other areas.

Just something to keep in mind.

Do you have any pictures or a link to the website, next time I am down in Penn. I will see if I can swing by.

Thanks for the heads up! We are looking to change it up every 4-6 months or as often or little as the people coming in want it changed. We are in the process of getting the rocks and heavy equipment to move said rocks, but I have done some courses in crete that have turned out really well (took a lot of experimenting to get it right lol)

I just started the site and need to get some more work on it done before I release the name lol. Hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow.

Thanks

First three loads of rocks got here today. I am guessing that I will need about 6-10 more loads but its a start. Anyone have any preferences as far as man made vs. natural terrain? Was thinking of doing some concrete areas like they do the 1:1. Looking for ideas of what people would like to see or not see also as far as bridges streams mud etc etc.

Here are some pictures from today:

Thanks for the support guys!

Looks like this week will be more cleaning rocks and getting them inside. We are also working on getting the bridges and some other things built. Still looking at a Early Nov opening date.

Thanks

I have some extra bridges and some nice man-made rocks that you could incorporate into your courses. If you want them, let me know.
