We found a nice spot in Connesville. It's very secluded and there isn't alot of space for parking 4wd is recommended, but there is a lot of rocks. I'm going back on my next day off and I'll take some pics. I ended up wheeling my 1:1 most of the time didn't get much crawling done!

Coles,
I am in. Let me know. This weekend is out for me, but give me some notice and I will be there. I will also bring my buddy that has a stock TXT that he will be modding in the winter.

Thanks

Sounds good guys. I don't know how many vehicles (1:1) that we can fit at that spot in Connelsville. It's a one lane dirt road going in, but one spot where there's a few nice sized rock pile there is a pull off. I know there is alot of rocks in Ohiopyle, but I need to go up there and find a nice, accesible spot. I'll keep yall posted after me and StIcK kInG pick the best spot, and I'll be sure to post pics. I'ld like to GTG sometime in the next few weeks if possible. I should have my dig setup together by then. I just need to find a way or place to mount the servo, and hook up a rod or something to the slide shaft!!

I am currently in Erie at Penn State and building my first rock crawler. There are plenty of place to crawl on campus here at what we call the Gorge, I cna't wait to take my finished truck out there. Anyone else close to Erie?

PBLM CHLD, Wreckgar 13 is from Erie

Nice rig RockCrusher. Are those x-factor axles I see?

I'm in the process of teaching myself how to braze, so I can build a TLT rock truggy. Just found an old Tamiya S10 body I'm gonna try and have it done for the SVSC nov 12 comp. I'm taking alot of pics. Might even do my 1st build-up thread. Everybody just keep checking back we'll GTG as soon as we can.

Thanks Coles...
No they are TXT with Bender BTA servo mounts and RC4wd TracLockers and SS Shafts. It should be pretty damn bullet proof now. Over winter I am going to shift it to a 60/40 layout and put some weight in the front wheels. I still need to remove the belly of the chassis for more clearance also.

I just left raceway hobbies and they told me to join in here to bs with you guys. I am in the process of building my crawler, just need to find the right chassis and then i am on my way. I have everthing else from the clod that i need and the rest is coming in before this weekend.
I am from bear rocks near ohio pile and seven springs. if anybody has any suggestions about a chassis please let me know. I will buy new or used. Also very interested in joining in on some crawlin near here so just name the place and hopefully i am up and running and can join in.
